Renewable Energies
The international summer university ISUenergy provides advanced knowledge of renewable energies, in all relevant areas, from generation and distribution to control systems.
Technology of renewable energy production is covered for Wind and Photovoltaic and Hydro Power, as well as energy storage systems and transmissions.
System and market design includes concepts of smartgrid design and business models for renewable energy management.
The courses integrate different academic fields such as Economics and Ecology, Material Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, IT, Architecture, Political Science and Sociology.
Course Format
The content is taught by leading experts in interactive courses and supplemented with practical projects.
Two weeks of activity are packed with courses, workshops, hands-on exercises and team activities.
ISUenergy allows for a transfer of ECTS credits to your home university. Check the program for assignable credits.
Summer University
ISUenergy takes place in the village of Falera (near Chur, Flims/Laax), Switzerland.
It offers recreational time to enjoy numerous fun outdoor activities in the gorgeous landscape of the Swiss Alps.
The format of a summer university in the Swiss mountains, on a sunny terrace that has been inhabited for 3000 years, follows the footsteps of our ancestors and complements the technical depth with unique experiences of nature and historical retrospect, as well as with international camaraderie.
